Night Walkers

July 3, 2009

My eyes seemed not to care

About the stress that’s been wrecking ‘em

Too many tiresome nights

Made me a forced insomniac

And that the thrust of the lethargic brain

Has been defied by the gravity of work

Cannot be forever concealed

Behind lousy frames and deceitful glasses

An incomplete sign of labor weakness

But an evidence of dedication

Still up when all are down

Kept the world turning even at dark

For every drop of sweat

Is a penny that can change lives

And for every ache of the corporeal creation

Is a spirit relieved from hunger and thirst

Shouting for the purchase of eggs

Driving for the people up-late

Cleaning for the dirt of the hustlers

Comforting for the patient’s aid

It’s life beyond the lively

And Sacrifice beyond reality
