Regrets

There I was, quietly sitting like a phantom

With a soul entrapped in a niche of lamentations

Yearning for the damp air to smother me

And the blackness to veil my existence

I was deeply marred by the circumstances,

Hurt by my own foolish ironies

Like h0w a jackal snarls at his unwilling master,

As how a sword slashes his coward fighter

I should’ve done something to keep you here beside me

Should’ve seen the hurtful fact,

That I’m not the only man in this world meant for you

You could have been mine,

and I could have been yours..

But I was fooled by my own fears and gutlessness

And instead of seeing us together in the future,

I ended up counting some mournful numbers

Swallowing bitterly my own regrets ,

for a girl I could have fought for..
